The graphics are generally excellent and enhanced by the fact that you can choose the game view which gives it a cinematic feel at times.
A Train simulator, (also Railroad simulator or Railway simulator) is a computer based simulation of rail transport operations. They are generally large complicated software packages modeling a 3D virtual reality world, with 'play mode' software which lets the user interact by stepping inside the virtual world. Some, like the first Microsoft version (MSTS) are written and modeled for the user mainly interested in driving. Board games such as Trails to Rails, Ticket to Ride or Eurorails are however not considered train simulators.
Keeping your freight on board can prove to be extremely difficult on the hilly and bumpy terrain, so you need to be very skilled at keyboard control, conscious of your speed, and able to make snap decisions in order to avoid losing any of your precious load.
Enjoy your train ride and job!
